<h1>We Are the 80s</h1>
Two best-selling, long-charting LPs that rocked 1981 and spun off at least seven immortal hits (collectively) onto the Hot 100 and Mainstream Album Rock charts <B>GET LUCKY</B> by <B>Loverboy</B> and <B>WORKING CLASS DOG</B> by <B>Rick Springfield</B> are both enjoying their 25th anniversaries as catalog staples in 2006. That honor will be acknowledged with brand new expanded editions of both albums that will arrive in stores July 25th on Columbia /Legacy (<B>Loverboy</B>) and RCA/Legacy (<B>Rick Springfield</B>).

The two expanded editions, each with bonus tracks and new liner notes, will be released in conjunction with this summers <B>We Are The 80s</B> tour, presented by <B>Legacy Recordings</B> and <B>VH1 Classic</B>. The tour, starring <B>Rick Springfield, Loverboy, Eddie Money, and Scandal</B> opened on July 8th at Freeze Pavilion in Kettering, Ohio. A new series of compilation CDs was also launched to coincide with the tour. Entitled <B>WE ARE THE 80s</B>, the series brings some of the most influential artists of the decade back into the spotlight where they belong including <B>Bangles, Loverboy,</B>
<p>
Often maligned and disrespected but never imitated or duplicated the decade of decadence that was the 80s is now officially retro-cool, and its gold, platinum, and multi-platinum artists and bands are being properly recognized for their utter greatness. Each entry in the <B>WE ARE THE 80s</B> series will feature an hour of music, 12-14 tracks of hit singles and well-chosen album cuts drawn exclusively from each groups 80s output. Each package will also include newly commissioned liner notes.
